Research paper highlighted by journal
Our recent publication in Water Resources Research was selected as the editors' highlight:
"Editors’ Highlight— The debate over hydraulic fracking for gas in shales and storage of radioactive waste has been intense worldwide. This paper shows the degree to which shales are hydraulically tight with respect to gas and fluid transport except where fractured. The study presents novel findings (the role of diffusion controlled transport) in a set of geological and hydrogeological systems of increasing importance for issues as wide-ranging as fracking, carbon capture and storage, and nuclear waste disposal."
